Create calmer classrooms by understanding what drives behaviour.
So, you’ve had enough of behaviour disrupting your lessons.
This probably isn’t where you thought you’d be when you came into teaching.
You’ve tried different approaches. Taken advice. Put the effort in.
And still, the same patterns keep showing up.
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
Behaviour Your Way helps teachers move beyond simply managing behaviour and start understanding what creates lasting change.
Because the moments that matter most in teaching are rarely when everything is going well.
They’re the moments when emotions rise, pressure increases and your response matters.

The Main Problem
You might recognise some of this…
You’ve asked colleagues for help, but the advice hasn’t quite worked in your classroom.
You’ve been on courses that left you feeling motivated, only for things to slip back within days.
You’ve tried strategies from books, training and online resources, but nothing seems to stick long enough to create real change.
You’ve experimented with different styles — stricter, more relaxed, more authoritative, more “you” — and still the behaviour doesn’t shift in a lasting way.
At some point, it starts to feel frustrating.
Maybe even personal.
But here’s the part most behaviour training misses:
The one thing you can control in your classroom is you.
And that’s not a criticism.
It’s where your power is.
Because when you take ownership of how you respond, how you communicate and how you show up, everything else starts to become changeable.
A DIFFERENT APPROACH
Behaviour doesn’t come from one thing.
It’s not just the student.
It’s not just the strategy you use in the moment.
It’s the result of what you consistently establish in your classroom every single day.
Most behaviour approaches focus on:
“What do I do when things go wrong?”
Behaviour Your Way asks a different question:
“What can we establish so things are more likely to go right?”
Over years of teaching, coaching and supporting educators, the same key areas kept appearing.
When these areas were clear and consistent, behaviour improved.
When they weren’t, the same challenges kept returning.
THE ESTABLISH FRAMEWORK
Eight areas that shape every classroom.
Together these form the ESTABLISH framework.
Not because you need another acronym to remember.
But because it reflects what is already happening in your classroom every day.
You are establishing:
- Expectations
- Systems and routines
- Tone
- Arrangement and environment
- Body language and non-verbal communication
- Language choices
- Your emotional state
- Habits
Whether it feels like it or not, these areas are always being influenced.
Behaviour Your Way helps you approach them with clarity, consistency and confidence without having to remember more things on top of your already busy job.

Ready to establish a different approach?
Behaviour Your Way helps you turn these ideas into practical changes that work in your classroom.

ABOUT ARRAN
Developed from over twenty years of classroom experience.
Behaviour Your Way was created by Arran Ness after working across a range of educational settings, from high-performing mainstream schools to Pupil Referral Units supporting some of the hardest to reach students.
After years observing, supporting and coaching teachers, Arran discovered that effective behaviour management wasn’t about copying someone else’s personality.
The best teachers weren’t playing a role.
They had developed consistent habits that worked with who they were.
Behaviour courses were one day events where you had load of pillars, acronyms and concepts to implement… just without the time to do it!
This is where Arran combined his coaching and musical background with his teaching background to create a course where the skills are practiced and refined over time in a sustainable way.
Behaviour Your Way helps teachers build authentic approaches based on their own strengths, creating better relationships and better classrooms.
